Course Description

This course aims to provide recognition of the problems in patients with cardiovascular diseases, the evaluation of the patient with the appropriate methods of assessment, selection of the cardiac rehabilitation approaches and appropriate treatment programs for patients. Students completing this course will explain the basic concepts related to cardiac rehabilitation; describe the clinical features of cardiovascular disease; assess cardiovascular patients according to physical, physiological and functional aspects; apply physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in patients with cardiovascular problems; evaluate quality of life and psychosocial status and give home programs in patients with cardiovascular diseases; analyze the cardiovascular risk factors in people who have cardiovascular risks; give patient education and make behavior modifications people with cardiovascular risks. The course is given in theoretical and practical.
