Course Description
The aim of the course is to explain the clinical properties observed after stroke, the basic features related to the assessment and neuropsychological approach applied in stroke rehabilitation, and to develop problem-solving skills after stroke in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. It is targeted to teach the theoretical basis and practical application of Brunnstrom, Bobath and Johnstone methods used in the rehabilitation of hemiplegia under the neurodevelopmental treatment. In this course the students will learn the principles of clinical problem-solving approaches and assessment techniques of Bobath, the positioning with Bobath, the trunk and upper extremity therapy and mobilization techniques, the clinical evaluation and applications according to Brunnstrom method, Margaret Johnstone method in stroke rehabilitation.
