Course Description

Ethical aspects of research, both at the clinical, molecular and pharmaceutical level are discussed in this course. Ethical regulations of drug research in humans, local and national ethics committees, duties and responsibilities of the Declaration of Helsinki, regulations about the drug research, good clinical practice guidelines, good laboratory practices, bias in research and clinical trials, randomization, blinded and nonblinded trials, informed written consent, placebo-ethics, nocebo-ethics, special patient groups and private drug trials on the methods to be used in children, pregnant women and the elderly, drug research, drug research about the regulations. Using experimental controls and interpretation of experimental results that will ultimately affect human life and well-being will also be discussed.
