Course Description
The aim of the course is to teach immunological diseases, systemic diseases of the oral cavity, odontogenic and non-odontogenic cysts, developmental anomalies and congenital disorders. The student explains the formation mechanisms of pathological processes. Realizes the general principles of the oral pathology. Learns developmental anomalies and congenital disorders involving oral hard and soft tissues. Has the knowledge of non neoplastic tongue anomalies Determines hematologic diseases and their oral symptoms. Explains oral findings of systemic diseases. Is informed about oral symptoms of dermatologic and immunologic diseases. Learns ephitelial pathologies and granulomatous diseases. Describes the developmental, infections, immunologic diseases and also, gains the information of both odontogenic and non-odontogenic cysts of the head and neck region. Knows the types and methods of biopsy.
