Course Description

The purpose of this course is to teach the students basic principles and to give information about different types of materials, to recognize molecules and compounds, to gain the ability of problem solving by using basic principles of chemistry. It will deal with the properties and measurement of the material; Atoms, molecules and ions, physical and chemical changes, laws and laws in chemistry, atomic structure, number of protons and neutrons and electrons; Chemical compounds, chemical reactions and stoichiometry, Calculation of the amount of product entering the chemical reactions and percent yield. These subjects will be processed in theoretical hours and the experiments related to these topics will be done together with the students in the presence of the responsible academic members during the lab hours.
