Course Description
The content of this course includes the features of intensive care, the principles of care of the intensive care patient and intensive care nursing. In this course; intensive care nursing, roles and responsibilities of the nurse, multidisciplinary team approach, patient admission to intensive care, principles, conditions requiring intensive care and discharge criteria, evaluation parameters and scoring systems of patients in intensive care, hemodynamic monitoring mechanical ventilation and nursing care, drugs used in intensive care, drug interactions and safe drug applications, pain and sedation assessment and management in intensive care, infection control in intensive care unit, enteral and parenteral feeding in intensive care unit, communication with patient and family in intensive care unit and psychosocial problem management issues are included.
