MATERNITY NURSING

Course Description

The content of this course includes current developments in obstetrics and nursing, introduction to obstetrics nursing, physiology of the pregnancy process, pathologies affecting the pregnancy process, antenatal care during pregnancy, risky situations during pregnancy, evaluation and education of the mother during pregnancy, risk situations during pregnancy, evaluation of fetal health, labor, normal birth, types of delivery and nursing care, risky labor, pathological births. This course also includes postpartum period characteristics and nursing care, postpartum risky situations, newborn normal and risky situations, evaluation of normal and risk postpartum mother, the person who may affect the labor and determination of environmental risk factors, adaptation of the mother to pregnancy and the child in the postpartum period.
