Course Description

The contents of this course are surgical diagnostic methods, maintenance of homeostasis in surgery and fluid-electrolyte balance, follow-up of new surgical applications and positive and negative effects on the patient, detection and control of conditions affecting homeostasis in patients, diagnostic methods in surgery and responsibilities of the nurse, liquid electrolyte and acid base in surgery. This course also includes nursing approaches in maintaining the balance and imbalances, postoperative shock and nursing approaches, nursing approaches in post-surgical bleeding, nursing approach in terms of blood transfusion and complications that may develop, following up-to-date approaches in wound and wound care, use and evaluation of current materials in wound care, surgical site infections and preventive interventions, perioperative nursing, ERAS protocols, surgical nutrition, endoscopic surgery and nursing care.
