Course Description
Definition and objectives of the course; conceptual framework and history of nursing; the development of world and nursing education; ethical codes; introduction to the four basic concepts of nursing; physical and psychosocial environment; social recognition; family structure and characteristics; healthy people and their needs, human development periods; health and disease concepts; nursing; health team; health system; health policies; health education and health promotion; human, environment / society, health / illness, nursing; nursing profession and definition; a healthy hospital environment; physical environment and safety; nursing process; communicating with the patient; admission of the patient to the hospital; individual hygiene; hot and cold applications; asepsis and infection control; body mechanics and movement need; bedding technics; vital findings; drug applications.

Course outcomes
- 01 Student learns historical& contemporary nursing.
- 02 The student can accept the patient to the hospital ward and is discharged.
- 03 The student can identify the patient's care needs, make the patient nursing care plan and develop the necessary skills to perform nursing activities.
- 04 They learn about Posture and movement, body mechanics, exercises
- 05 The student learns how to measure vital signs and applies them.
- 06 Students know how to apply the drugs and apply the drugs on the model.
- 07 Students know how to apply hot and cold application and apply on the model.
- 08 Students know about hygiene, personal hygiene and infection control and bed making and apply on the model.
- 09 The student know how to do a nursing care plan and make nursing care plan according to the scenario.
