Course Description
This course includes basic features of oral language and oral communication such as verbal lecture, basic features of speaking skill (using natural language and body language), basic principles of a good speech and key features of a good speaker. Spontaneous and planned speech, stages of planned speech (selection and limitation of the topic; purpose, point of view, determination of main and side ideas, planning, writing the text; presentation of the speech) will also be included. Practice studies will be carried out on types of speech such as person-to-person conversations, interview, self-introduction, answering questions, and making spontaneous speeches on different subjects, studies on speech samples and oral expression practices, and also on topics related to correcting language and expression mistakes in speeches.
