Course Description
The main purpose of this course is to explore communication processes and practices in a work environment. Organizational structures, patterns of communication, task and social roles, extrinsic influences, and methods of producing intrinsic motivation and innovation have evolved into many different forms. Thus, the course will emphasize practices, processes and difficulties of communication between and among large groups of people at work. Superior-subordinate communication practices have changed and become important for today’s organizations, as subordinates see their immediate managers as one of the key information source for motivation at work. Communication competence, especially for individuals at managerial position has become important qualification to provide good communication and harmony within work groups and teams.
