Course Description
The course focuses on the nature of folklore and the identification of the main research areas in order to; gain the intellectual tools and equipment that a practicing folklorist should possess, to research the general qualities of national folklore theories and practices in some countries, to study plans of village, town and city monographs in the framework of Turkish folklore and their application, to study various aspects of the concept of field research in folklore, determination of research topic, analysis and compilation plans, main principles and applications of observation (observation) method, to study the evolution of folkloric thought in the history of Western thought, the mythological school and its practices, the formation of variants in the migration of folklore and folklore, and the practical work of Axel Olrik in the context of the epic law. The basic principles of the historical-geographical Fin School and comparative studies of domestic and foreign research are considered within this framework.
