Course Description

The main objective of this course is to help students develop a comprehensive understanding of how information systems are developed through the activities of system development life cycle (SDLC) which includes systems planning, analysis, design and implementation. The course will examine the Key modelling concepts applicable to both structured and object-oriented approaches to systems development. By using several cases of organizations problems, the course will determine the requirements for a new or an enhanced systems. Tools such as MS access, MS Visio, MS project will then be used to support the planning, analysis, and design of an IS project for each organization.
