Course Description

Commercial and Company Law I introduces students to the fundamental principles governing commercial transactions and business organizations. The course examines the legal framework of commercial law, including the nature of commercial activities, traders, business registration, and commercial obligations. It also explores the formation and characteristics of different types of business organizations, with particular emphasis on partnerships and companies. Students study the concept of separate legal personality, corporate capacity, incorporation procedures, constitutional documents, and the rights and duties of shareholders and directors. Also the course provides a solid foundation for understanding the legal principles that regulate commercial enterprises and corporate governance.
