PROPERTY LAW-I

Course Description

In this course, real rights, elements of real rights and their differences from other rights are examined. In the first part of the course, concept and nature of possession, its acquisition and loss, and provisions of Turkish Civil Code on the protection of possession are evaluated. The concept of land registry and its elements are examined by considering current legislation and court decisions. Furthermore, an in-depth analysis is offered on the land registry organization, the responsibility of the state and the validity of the land registry records. In the second part of the course, movable and immovable property and their elements are examined. Finally, subjects such as ownership, limited real rights and easement rights in movable and immovable properties are discussed.
