Course Description

This course examines relations between states, international organizations and other units that make up the international community. In the first part, basic concepts and principles of international law are emphasized. In addition, the definition of international law, its relationship with the domestic legal order and its sources are examined. In the second part, the example of the United Nations as a universal international organization, its organs, the Security Council, and the subjects of international law within the scope of the International Court of Justice are discussed. In the last part, the prohibition of use of force and self-defense, spatial rules in international law, land, air and sea will be examined, and also diplomatic relations and consular relations between states will be discussed.
