Course Description
The course aims to introduce the basic principles, mechanisms and institutions of the market economy to students. It is at the heart of Adam Smith's notions of "invisible hand" and "free market" that form the basis of modern micro-economy. Consumer choice theory and firm theory are developed using the current analytical tools of econometrics science. Focuses on competition analysis and market behavior of firms. Graphical and numerical examples are used to understand the theoretical information.
