Course Description

Conflict resolution as a field of inquiry and research; perspectives, theories, and assumptions underlying conflict analysis and conflict resolution; contending approaches to conflict resolution training and practice are among the discussion points of this course. A case analysis approach is also used within this course to examine the role of contemporary issues in conflict situations. Critical theories and Theories of Peace will also be covered during the course sessions to build a bridge between peace and conflict. Students are expected to make cross-analysis between different theories.
