Course Description
For the first time, the semiology involved in the work of the linguist De Saussure and the philosopher Peirce encompasses the examination of symptom and sign systems. On the basis of the work of these two people, the research on this field attempts to understand the basic sign system of human culture. In order to study semiotically, it is necessary to ask how to make sense. Questions such as how it is produced as meaning, how it is circulating, and what happens when people do not accept the meaning of something are asked for answers. It will focus on fields such as visuals, films, television, advertisements, and how semantic concepts and methods can be used to analyze various cultural products.
