Course Description

This course focuses on important events and major movements and designers throughout the design history. From a historical perspective, focus on the development of contemporary graphic design and its interaction with culture. Students learn how to develop and change in graphic design along with technology, after Ken Garland's manifestation in 1964. In this course, historical styles, movements, people, and events provide the appropriate ground for the student to develop their own designs with more creative and intellectual solutions. Thus, students can always take new perspectives from contemporary design history and bring new approaches to communication and design problems. This course also explores design as a profession and contains extremely important resources for communication designers.
