Course Description

This course aims to introduce cost planning, construction site organization, and implementation management processes in interior architecture projects. Within the scope of the course, quantity surveying and cost estimation, budget planning, work scheduling, contract processes, quality control, occupational health and safety, and fundamental project management principles are examined. Students evaluate the impact of interdisciplinary coordination, resource management, and time planning on project success during the implementation process. The use of digital project management tools, as well as artificial intelligence-supported planning and cost analysis methods in professional practices, are discussed. The course aims to enable students to plan implementation processes by holistically evaluating technical, economic, and managerial decisions.

Course outcomes

  1. 01 Understanding the concept of research and its impact on the project; especially to understand the methods and techniques used in design discipline.
  2. 02 Develop an understanding of research and write an appropriate academic paper. The aim of this course is to create a conceptual and theoretical aim, to provide the theoretical context of related disciplines such as history, environment, economy, technology, social sciences and psychology, and to transform this knowledge into architectural knowledge.
  3. 03 To develop an understanding of architecture through structural, sociological and environmental determinants by examining case studies about space and spaces.
