PSYCHOLOGY

Course Description

The main purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the basic concepts, theories, and research methods of psychology. The course covers topics such as biological foundations, perception, learning, memory, motivation, emotion, personality, development, social interaction, and psychopathology. Different disciplines such as clinical psychology, social, developmental, cognitive, and industrial psychology, which are subfields of psychology, are also introduced. Students develop their theoretical knowledge in these areas and gain the skills to understand and interpret human behavior. In addition, methods such as psychological assessment, experimental design, and data analysis are also covered. This course contributes to students' understanding of human behavior and mental processes at both individual and societal levels, and provides them with a broad perspective on psychology.
