Course Description
Theoretical foundations, basic concepts, principles and methodologies of contemporary psychological movements based on psychological counseling practices. This course seeks to explain and explain all contemporary psychological theories in a systematic coherence. This course aims to help students understand and use contemporary psychological counseling theories in order to determine appropriate counseling goals to develop a therapeutic relationship, to design intervention methods, to evaluate client outputs, and to successfully terminate the client-counselor relationship. In this course, students will focus on the following topics: Assistance in Counseling, Existentialist Theory, Client-Centered Theory, Gestalt Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Theories, Rational Emotional Behavioral Theory, Reality Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), Family System Theories, Feminist Theory , Oriental Therapies, Body-centered Counseling, Constructivist and Integrative Approaches, Other Psychotherapies
