Course Description
What is ethics? What are the ethical principles of the health profession? What are the ethical responsibilities of health professionals towards patients and their relatives. What are the ethical responsibilities of health professionals towards society. What are the ethical responsibilities of health professionals to staff? Rights concept. Patient rights and related concepts. Historical development of patient rights. The Bali Declaration on patient rights. Patient and health worker relationships within the framework of patient rights. patients' rights and legal arrangements in Turkey. The content of patients' rights regulations in Turkey, what is the point of patient rights. Patient rights regulation. Problems related to patient rights encountered in health services. ethics and patient rights practices in Turkey. Patient rights in the world. Reasons for violating patient-induced patient rights, what are the reasons for violating patient rights due to health care workers. They will have information about all these issues.

Program Outcomes
- P01 It is knowledgeable about Türkiye, TRNC and World Emergency Health Services.
- P02 It has basic knowledge in the fields of human anatomy, physiology and pathology.
- P03 Has knowledge about the use of emergency vehicles, mechanical and technical equipment, and medical equipment used in the pre-hospital Emergency Medicine system.
- P04 Performs physical evaluation of the patient in emergency situations and knows the principles of primary and secondary examination.
- P05 Has the ability to use patient handling and transport methods and position patients or injured people appropriately.
- P06 Knows the general rules of approach to trauma patients and has the skills to use and maintain trauma equipment; Knows simple rescue/extraction techniques in traffic accidents.
- P07 Knows infection control methods, ensures asepsis-antisepsis conditions as well as infection controls of emergency vehicles and equipment.
- P08 Knows and applies the principles of pre-hospital emergency care in medical emergencies (shock, poisoning, emergency labor, pediatric, geriatric, oncological emergencies, psychiatric, etc.).
- P09 Knows and applies personal and environmental safety measures in ordinary and extraordinary situations.
- P10 Performs basic and advanced life support; Performs defibrillation and cardioversion, knows basic ECG rhythm analysis.
- P11 Controls bleeding, interprets blood gas values, performs peripheral intravenous intervention, and knows drug administration methods.
- P12 Knows professional duties, authorities and responsibilities.
- P13 Establishes healthy human relationships with people in the work area and those it serves.
