Course Description

The course aims to discuss current trends in ELT with special emphasis on diverse procedures used in foreign language teaching. The course will also focus on research into the efficacy of each current procedure. Dealing with current approaches to the teaching of the English Language, theoretical and practical issues in teaching languages, learners will be able to design appropriate research studies to investigate the effectiveness of a method of teaching. The course focuses on the latest trends in English Language Teaching such as Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), E-Learning Applied to ELT, Edutainment, Blended Learning, Task-based language teaching (TBLT), Situated Language Teaching and so on.
