Course outcomes

Week 3 The Communicative Turn in Language Teaching (CLT; communicative competence; strong/weak CLT; Cooperative Language Learning)
Week 4 Contemporary Communicative Approaches (TBLT, Content-Based Instruction, CLIL, text/genre-based teaching)
Week 5 Beyond Methods: Post-method and Principled Pedagogy (Critique of the methods concept; teacher agency; context-sensitive pedagogy)
