Course Description
This course focuses on the ways in which construction industry assess, control, and transfer risk. This process, known as the risk management process, is becoming an increasingly important tool in the management of construction and construction company financial health. An effective and efficient construction risk management program leads to knowledge and control of costs and an improved bottom line. This is accomplished by means of studying quantitative techniques for project risk analysis, application of risk management, information technology for risk management, risk in estimating, and management financial risk in major construction projects, contract strategy, and dealing with risk in contracts, tenders-the risk to clients and contractors, case studies.
