INTERMEDIATE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER

Evaluation Tools (Active Term)

No evaluation items have been defined.

Course outcomes

  1. 01 1. Develop an appreciation for the fundamental concepts and principles that underlie heat transfer processes.
  2. 02 2. Illustrate that the knowledge of heat transfer can be used with the first law of thermodynamics.
  3. 03 3. Develop a deeper understanding of Fourier's law.
  4. 04 4. Develop the heat equation from basic principles.
  5. 05 5. Discuss the heat transfer with no internal generation of thermal energy.
  6. 06 6. Determine expressions for the temperature distribution and heat transfer rate in common geometries.
  7. 07 7. Introduce the concept of thermal resistance and to show how thermal circuits may be used to model heat flow.
  8. 08 8. Develop the means to perform convection transfer calculations.
