Course outcomes
- 01 1. Understand the radiation mechanism of antennas , i.e. how electromagnetic fields are generated, guided, and radiated
- 02 2. To be aware of the various types of antennas and their use in wireless communication
- 03 3. Understand radiation patterns of antennas : lobes, power and fields pattern and their respective plots in polar coordinates
- 04 4. Understand the different space-field regions (near-field, intermediate-field, and far-field regions) and their major differences
- 05 5. To be able to derive and draw the antenna array factor for a linear array
- 06 6. To be able to familiar with some advanced antennas types
