Course Description
To introduce students to the concept of occupational health and safety, contemporary occupational health and safety approach, principles of work health and safety practice, and the culture of risk prevention in occupational health and safety.Basic objectives and principles of labor law, basis and necessity of risk assessment, risk assessment methods, health surveillance and scope at work, definition, scope and dimensions of occupational hygiene, responsibilities regarding occupational hygiene, physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risk factors that negatively affect the health of employees in workplaces Definitions, methods and importance of prevention and protection in the field of occupational health and safety, Work accident and work-related diseases.

- P01 The students graduating from the program of dentistry will be able to describe the human body systems and functions and relations to the dentofacial system, recognize pathological conditions, list the preventive measures and express clearly their necessity and importance and act as competent, creative, and ethical practitioners who communicate effectively and view the human organism as an integrated whole.
