In this course students will disscuss aging phenomenon; definitions, statistics old age in turkey and in the world old age in turkey and in the world elderly welfare as a public issue elderly welfare from the perspective of elderly rights need for elderly welfare, socio-psychological problems economic factors affecting elderly welfare the scope of elderly welfare; protection support and application urban and rural differences in elderly welfare responsibilities for elderly welfare financing elderly welfare elderly welfare in turkey practices on elderly welfare in the world the future of elderly prosperity will vbe discussed. Social development understands the changing aging process and the effects of social conditions on the welfare of the elderly in the process.
