Course Description

Psychological counseling principles, counseling process and stages, basic skills and techniques, individual psychological counseling using basic psychological counseling skills and techniques under supervision in the light of these skills and techniques. To understand the general features of therapeutic approaches, to gain the ability to use therapeutic approaches, to provide therapeutic conditions, to establish trust relation in psychological counseling process and to initiate the psychological counseling process and to apply the termination rules and to practice psychological counseling with real counselors, to gain experience of making counseling with clients using basic psychological counseling techniques and principles. It is aimed to develop students' counseling skills with supervision support provided by the instructor responsible for the course and to create original psychological counseling orientations in the process.
