Course Description

Construction productivity can be improved and projects made more profitable if the quality is increased and jobsites are safer. At first glance, the relationship between productivity, quality and safety may seem incidental and remote, but they are more interrelated than one might think. As a result this course looks at factors affecting productivity, thoroughly considering Quality management concepts. By considering such concepts as the development of quality philosophy, the use of quality assurance, the importance of quality managers, quality improvement techniques, and quality management in construction. As well as Safety and health by considering Hazards of construction and their prevention, safety policy and safe construction.
