Course Description
The first and ultimate stage of the research study is to produce a viable doctoral level research proposal to the Thesis Progress Committee (TPC). The student has to prepare a research proposal which sets out research ideas in a coherent form. As well as developing the research proposal to a level where it is accepted by the committee, it is one of the most critical points in the development of the research. As soon as the proposal is accepted by the committee, students could begin to work under the supervision of appointed supervisor. The supervisor will assist from the initial phase and guide students to develop the agreed research field, set research aims and objectives and develop the necessary research background. At key stages, the student is expected to submit the work to the supervisor for approval or acceptance.
