Course Description
Meteorology for air pollution modelling and control; physical and thermodynamical properties of the atmosphere, equations of motion, hydrostatic equation, continuity equation, geostrophic approximation, geopotential height, thermal wind, baroclinic and barotrophic atmosphere, atmospheric stability and inversions. Air pollutant concentration models; fixed-box models, diffusion models. Control of primary particulates. Control of sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides.
