Course Description
Visual Design develops key digital communication skills such as design, project management, and presentation. The course will particularly focus on the relations between perception, image, presentation and will examine several aspects of visuality and image with Adobe Photoshop programme. Visual Design with Computer Aided Presentation will cover the most common Photoshop features and the techniques used in preparing images projects, designing for print and for use in page layouts and page designs in desktop publishing applications. It is an introductory course on projects, photography and electronic imaging techniques. Students are expected to acquire basic technical knowledge of digital images including project and image developing, enlarging and paper processing in synchronization. An introduction to the presentation capabilities of a sophisticated full color computer graphics system. Using advanced ``user-friendly'' software designed primarily for artists, architect, interior designer and graphic designers, students will learn to create presentation techniques on project and design on the computer. Subjects covered will include computer photoshop terminology, saving and recalling images on disk, digitizing a photographic image, and producing ``hard copy'.
