Course Description
The qualifying exam is an important decision point whether the student is ready to the Phd research. This exam takes place after the student successfully completed his / her credited courses and seminar. The student is expected to join written and oral parts of the qualifying exam which are conducted and evaluated by a jury. The exams are based on advanced subjects and concepts of the field and doctoral study. In this process the student is expected to prove that he / she has required level of knowledge on doing a PhD research and writing a PhD thesis. A student takes the qualification exam at most two times a year.
