Ders Açıklaması
Bu ders ENGL031 dersinin devamı niteliğindedir. Bu bağlamda öğrencilerin, akademik okuma ve yazma etkinliklerini başarıyla yerine getirebilmeleri için, gerekli olan bilgiyi edindiklerini kesinleştirmek amacıyla etken cümleler ve edilgen cümleleri, zarf tümleçleri, ve bağlaçlar gibi konuları içeren daha ileri bir seviyede genel bir dilbilgisi tekrarı yapılmaktadır. Yazma becerisine ilişkin öğrencilere daha ileri seviyede cümle yapısı, temel paragraf bileşenleri örneğin konu cümlesi, konu, yönlendirici fikir, destekleyici cümleler, ve sonuç cümlesi sunulmaktadır. Öğrencilerin yazma becerisine ilişkin edindikleri bilgiyi, kendileri hakkında betimsel paragraf yazarken yansıtmaları beklenmektedir. Bununla birlikte, bu ders daha ileri seviyede çeşitli okuma parçaları ile öğrencilere okuma becerilerini geliştirme fırsatı vermektedir.
