Bu ders, bilgi sistemlerinin analiz, tasarım, kullanım ve yönetiminde yöneticilerin üstlenmesi gereken aktif ve önemli rolün altını çizmektedir. Bir MIS projesinin planlama ve organizasyonunu, ihtiyaçların belirlenmesi için stratejileri, analizden tasarıma geçişi, yeni sistemin kavramsal tasarımını, uygulama sürecindeki aşamaları ve dönüşüm yöntemlerini kapsar.
