Ders Açıklaması
Bu ders, çeşitli yabancı ya da ikinci dil öğretim yöntemlerini ve bu yöntemlerin yaklaşım, tasarım ve ders işleme süreci açısından birbirlerinden nasıl ayırdedildiklerini inceler. Öğrencilerin her yöntemin özelliklerine ilişkin bilgi edinmelerini, verilen bir ortama uygun ders işleme tekniğini seçmelerini ve derslerini buna göre işlemelerini sağlar. Yöntembilim dersi, dil birimlerinin (telaffuz, sözcük bilgisi, dilbilgisi ve söylem bilgisi) öğretmeyi, büyük ölçekli dört dil becerisinin (dinleme, konuşma, okuma, yazma) kazandırmayı, dil işlevleri doğrultusunda söylem oluşturmayı ve dil stratejilerinin geliştirilmeyi içerir. Öğrenciler, geleneksel ve iletişimsel yaklaşımları karşılaştırabilecek ve İngilizcenin yabancı veya ikinci dil olarak öğretimini araştırabilecektir.
