Ders Açıklaması
Bu ders kapsamında bitkilerden, mikroorganizmalardan, alglerden vb. elde edilen doğal ürünler ve bunların biyomedikal kullanımları incelenecektir. Ders içerisinde tıbbi önemi olan organik doğal ürünlerin biyo-tayine yönelik tarama, izolasyon, yapı belirleme, biyosentez, kısmi sentez ve toplam kimyasal sentezi tartışılacaktır. Dikkate alınacak bileşiklerin sınıfları arasında steroid hormonları, kardiyak glikozitler, alkaloitler, antibiyotikler, terpenler ve benzerleri yer alır ve bu konular da öğrenciyle tartışılacaktır. Bunların yanında farmasötik bilimlerde ve biyomedikal bilimlerde kullanılan farklı bitkiler ve henüz çalışılmamış bitkilerin potansiyeli değerlendirilecektir. Ayrıca etken maddelerin ekstrakte edilmesine yönelik ekstraksiyon yöntemleri ve bu etken maddeleri ökaryotik ve prokaryotik hücrelerde test etmek için kullanılan yöntemler incelenecek konular arasında yer almaktadır.
